Kose Yaylim Village Church
The structure is located in the central settlement of Yaylım Village in Köse District. It was built on a rectangular area with a three-aisled basilical plan scheme. The door, window, facade ends, carriers and arches are made of smooth dressed stone material, while the main walls are made of rubble stone. The semicircular apse and pastaphorion cells on the eastern facade of the property are kept narrower and lower than the structure. The entrance to the interior is provided through a rectangular door on the left of the southern wall. The door frames are of smooth dressed stone workmanship, giving it a cross-like appearance. There is a pointed arched pediment above the entrance lintel. The inscription section inside the pediment is empty. There are three small rectangular windows on this facade and one on the western facade. The northern facade is adjacent to another structure with an earthen roof. The interior is divided into three naves with two columns each, and piers embedded in the semi-wall in front of the apse and on the western side. The upper cover is a barrel vault. The columns are in two parts and their joints are welded with lead. The arches that open on four sides of the columns form ribs on the upper cover. There are traces of erased frescoes on the upper cover. The door and window frames, facade ends, soffit, arches and carriers of the building are made of regular cut stone, the other parts are rubble stone.
